About Charmagne Glass-Tripp

Charmagne Glass-Tripp is a Grammy Award-winning vocalist and lyricist. Also, a producer, creator, mentor, and host she has entertained audiences professionally for over 25 years. Performing in the styles of Neo-Soul, Smooth Jazz, and R&B she has performed internationally, held a residency in Asia, and performed in various musical theater productions. She is an active member of the Make Music Hartford committee and community, an international movement that brings free, community-wide, outdoor musical celebrations to hundreds of cities worldwide! Passionate about social justice, when Charmagne is not creating or performing, she devotes herself to J.E.D.I. work as a program coach. In 2013 Charmagne took some time away from the stage to shift her focus to production, supporting community efforts and mentoring young artists. She and her comedic writing spouse, Tianna, established Gripp Productions, a music and theater company whose mission is to create and cultivate new and original work that highlights and supports the voices and stories of marginalized groups including, but not limited to, Black and LGBTQi communities. Like so many performers grounded by COVID, Charmagne shifted her attention to more songwriting and currently creates songs for sync placements in TV and film.
