FAQs

What if I don’t have a lot of experience, but want to join the database?

The Database is a source for discovering, connecting and creating with women from across the industry at all levels.

Why is it important to provide information on current skills and experience?

In order for your profile to be vetted and approved quickly, please include links to your work and experience for reference. The bios are designed to be searchable by key words – so the more information you include, the better! Details will help industry people to find you more easily and increase your potential opportunities.

My role in the industry is missing from the database. What can I do?

Let us know if you have any suggestions for additions to the database. We’re continually updating and tweaking the categories!

Do you take suggestions for committees?

Yes! We absolutely want to hear your ideas. Our goal is to have active committees serving all areas of the industry — including various genres, geographical locations and initiatives. Please let us know if you have an idea for a committee that doesn’t yet exist!

What do you mean when you use the words “she” or “womxn”?

We are an inclusive organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting anyone who identifies as a womxn. We want everyone to feel welcome. Also, we couldn’t do this without the support of our male (and male-identifying) allies as well! If you are a man who wants to get involved — please reach out! We need industry-wide support to create lasting change.
