About Wilma Kaddissi

Australian Drummer / Lyricist living in New York City. Music has always been Wilma's passion and purpose, she fell in love with and focused on being a drummer and lyricist after her career as a dancer in Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, California. She moved to New York City in 2010. Wilma was the lyricist for artist / producer Lloyd Landesman’s album ‘The Eleventh Hour’ released in 2020 featuring three of the world’s most renowned drummers, Simon Phillips, Marco Minnemann and Nick D’Virgilio. In 2019 Wilma co-wrote the single ‘If Ever’ with artist / producer Satta, and also sat in on drums for the music video for the single ‘Late’ by the band Altitudes & Attitude a side project featuring Anthrax bassist Frank Bello & Megadeth bassist David Ellefson. Between 2011 and 2022 Wilma co-founded, played drums and co-wrote all songs by Alt / Rock bands Opium Ink and The Toxic Femmes. Collectively with both bands she’s played live shows throughout NYC and the Tri-state region, including tattoo conventions, music festivals and in support of major bands the Misfits and Wolves at the Gate. Over the years she sharpened her skills as a lyricist and songwriter by co-writing with many musical artists and producers, by attending the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, Australia and numerous song-writing seminars with some of the industry’s most respected teachers from the Berklee Music College of Boston, USA.
