About Tracey Manner

Tracey Manner is a Founder of SEQUEL, an award-winning communications and marketing agency specializing in culture, hospitality, fashion and music. She is also the Founder of SEQUEL Sound, a division of SEQUEL dedicated to publicity, marketing and brand building for artists, festival properties, musical curators and venues - particularly in the dance space. She began her professional career at Halston in 2007 where she was quickly promoted from PR Intern to Communications Director, helping to launch Halston Heritage with Sarah Jessica Parker as Creative Director and Marios Schwab as Designer. Craving more of a challenge, Tracey joined THINK PR (now SEQUEL) in 2008, where she worked with emerging and established designers, retailers, corporate fashion brands and personalities - giving her a complete 360-degree understanding of the business of fashion. Rising through the ranks, Tracey became the agency’s Fashion Director and soon, Vice President and Partner. In 2020, Tracey - alongside her business partner Elaine Drebot-Hutchins - redefined and rebranded THINK to SEQUEL to reflect their values, mission and evolution of the company’s capabilities. Seen as both confidante and consigliere, brands, artists, journalists and others turn to Tracey for her refreshing candor and strategic POV. She works closely with clients on many aspects of their businesses/brands: from creative direction, storytelling, brand partnerships, branding and more. Under Tracey’s leadership, SEQUEL has grown exponentially and, as the industry has shifted, Tracey has with it - seizing opportunities to expand SEQUEL’s services and expertise. Most recently, she spearheaded the official launch of SEQUEL Sound, the agency’s new music division which merges her personal passions and professional relationships. SEQUEL Sound steps beyond traditional music PR to expand artists and brands beyond their immediate fanbase. It offers artists, festivals and other industry talent publicity, marketing, partnership and branding services while allowing lifestyle/fashion/hospitality brands the opportunity to tap into the global, cultural zeitgeist through the power of music. Music is the universal connector, and SEQUEL Sound is the catalyst. Tracey’s personal passions inform and cement her role as a dynamic connector throughout her ecosystem. She currently lives with her pomskies, Zaza and Rafa, in Los Angeles but her love of travel makes her a de facto resident of wherever wanderlust takes her. Tracey is a fierce advocate, dedicated to volunteering her time and resources to empower women in business and ensure their voices are heard. She is an active and longstanding member of organizations such as the Female Founder Collective and She Said So, and has used her platform on panels such for Soho House as well as for Spotify during Miami Music Week to share critical insights on what it means to be a woman in music. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Communications from Louisiana State University, Tracey continues to act as a mentor for the next generation of PR professionals by guest lecturing at her alma mater (LSU Manship School of Mass Communication) and teaching marketing and branded courses at City High School in NYC.
