Mair's Experience

Originally from Washington, DC, Mair landed the soundtrack and a supporting role in her first feature film at the age of 16 and started her own independent record label with a third party at the age of 18 for which she received a distribution deal through Warner Music Group at the age of 19, under which she released an EP and after which she transferred distribution to Universal Music Group where she released a full length album. Throughout this time she owned and operated her own professional recording studio which was highly trafficked by both upcoming and name talent throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. As an artist, Mair took solace in her creativity; further developing her craft by spending hours, days, and weeks writing, recording, and rehearsing routines with dedicated groups of dancers and musicians that would be performed at top venues throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, in New York, and Los Angeles. Feeling as though she had outgrown the community that had supported her in her early music career, Mair made the decision to move to Los Angeles in search of bigger opportunities. Upon arrival, she felt increasingly stifled by the third party she had brought with her given the task of helping leverage the LA Market and overseeing day-to-day activities at the label. Caught between a rock and a hard place and unable to perform on a regular basis, Mair found herself locked in a recording studio 10 to 12 hours a day creating brilliant material that didn’t seem to be going anywhere, and after uncovering shady business dealings of the third party she was in business with, a long over-due falling out ensued and the label has since been dissolved with Mair owning the exclusive rights to all intellectual properties. Alone in a new city and in need of an outlet to perform creatively in some form or fashion, Mair began auditioning for commercial roles and music videos and she began booking them immediately. She was quickly approached by talent management and signed with a commercial and film agency. Her commercial credits include brands such as Apple, Purina, LG, Microsoft, AT&T, J.W. Marriott, Tostitos, SyFy, Jimmy Choo, Avid (ProTools), Twitter, Mini Cooper, Fallout 76, and American Express among many others.
