Grateful to be a SITM Connect TogetHER Mentee for Production/Engineering 2024!!! Steph Gemm (Stephanie Gemmell) is a music producer, film composer, and writer currently based in the Mid-Atlantic. Steph earned her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music in 2024, concentrating on music production and film scoring. Steph has independently released self-produced EPs and singles that feature her passions for musical exploration, synthesis and sound design, and multi-instrumental performance. Steph’s award-winning remix of Zeynep Erbay’s “Chemical Love” was released by Soul Clap Records in August 2024. Steph’s single “That Side of Paradise” was released by Sunwaves Digital in November 2024. Steph is grateful to be a 2024 She Is The Music mentee for production & engineering, and a 2024-2025 GRAMMY U mentee for production & engineering. As a producer, mix engineer, and media composer, Steph specializes in empowering emerging artists and filmmakers to make their creative visions a reality. She draws on her experience as a writing consultant and lessons instructor to effectively collaborate with creative professionals. Steph supports her collaborators in developing work that reflects their unique voice and creative perspective. Steph completed Georgetown’s Screenwriting certificate program in 2024. Her investigative drama pilot “Incomplete Origins” appeared in Last Syllable Magazine in 2023. Her poetry has been featured in Oxford Public Philosophy, The Ekphrastic Review, Just Place Chapbook, Capitol Letters, and in anthologies published by Day Eight and Moonstone Arts. Steph has also served as regular contributor for Puttylike Media and books editor for Inklette Magazine. Her interdisciplinary research and nonfiction has appeared in The Peer Review, Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa, and The Rival GW. Steph attended the Glen Workshop as a writing fellow in 2021 and 2023.
