About Leigh Globisch

As a South African multi-genre Singer-Songwriter, my creative journey led me to the vibrant embrace of Berlin. Music has been my steadfast companion since my teenage years, where I found solace in strumming my guitar and pouring my emotions into heartfelt lyrics. I’ve played a central role in bands like Ragged Moon, Shiva (alongside my brother Dwain du Plessis and SAMA award winner Peter Auret), Harem, and Closer2Free. One significant highlight was collaborating on BlackBeak’s debut “Heaven and Her Demons” with cherished friends Ralf Globisch, Marco Errath, and Conley van der Westhuizen. This independent project caught the attention of Dawn Patrol Music and was welcomed into their Artist Roster in 2020, courtesy of the SheistheMusic Organisation. Recently, I’ve had the joy of performing as a guest vocalist with the reggae band Bonfi and immersing myself in the lively sounds of the new Funk Soul cover band ‘7 Ears Dive’. However, the true exhilaration lies in the upcoming release of my solo album, “Sacred Journey.” I invested my heart and soul into this project during the profound awakening that was the pandemic, making it a labor of love. I extend immense gratitude to Usama Siddiq for arranging and producing the album, and to Garrick du Toit at Playsound SA for his magical touch in the mixing and mastering process.

Leigh's Experience

Having always written lyrics and poetry as a hobby, I also found my niche in writing articles and social media posts online. I am at home in any endeavour that allows me the freedom to express myself creatively, whether it be musically or artistically as a graphic designer.
