About Kelly Sayer

Hi! I'm Kelly Sayer and I work in A&R at Atlantic Records. I'm originally from South Africa but I came to the USA in 2014 to study Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music. Since graduating, I moved to Los Angeles and began my career as a recording engineer, working for Alex Da Kid - best known for producing "Love the Way You Lie" (Rihanna) and "Radio Active" (Imagine Dragons). I then worked as the head engineer and studio manager for TEN Music Group, which is both a publishing company and independent record label. There, I learned more about music business and A&R, which ultimately lead me to where I am today. I like to consider myself a very hands-on A&R thanks to my background in engineering and production. My passion is discovering new talent and helping creatives to find their voice in the music industry.

Kelly's Experience

I have recorded and vocal produced at a myriad of studios in Los Angeles for artists such as A$AP Ferg, Allan Rayman, Bazzi, Sabrina Claudio, Alex da Kid, Skylar Grey, Icona Pop and more. I’ve also managed multiple recording studios for KIDinaKORNER and TEN Music Group. I’m now working at Atlantic Records, where I’m able to combine my previous experience and many passions into one role: A&R. My background allows me to let my musical training inform my technical decisions, while also letting my technical training make me a better A&R, especially when it comes to shaping the sonic of a record. I’m currently working on projects across the roster, primarily focusing on finding and workshopping new songs for our artists.
