About Kelly King

Raised in Music City USA, Kelly King got a jumpstart on her career. She was a child prodigy professionally working in music, recording, songwriting and live performance at the age of 10. She even hosted her own TV show on Fox Network, interviewing celebrities, writers, directors, and athletes. From Nashville, Kelly made the big move to New York City, where she truly discovered her identity in the entertainment industry. She performed in many Off- Broadway shows and frequented the legendary venue, Birdland, where she sang with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. In 2007, she released her debut album, “Live the Dream,” a culmination of her southern roots and her passion for R&B/Pop. Her five and a half octave range didn’t hurt either! The result was the very core of what Kelly King is: pure soul. From there, Kelly went on to release 3 top 20 billboard hits and write the first original Christmas song to go top 20 since Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas.” She also went on tour as the opening act for Michael Bolton and Kenny (Babyface) Edmonds, and wrote a song for Nickelodeon’s hit show, “Victorious!” In 2013, she earned the opportunity to represent the United States in Viña Del Mar, an international song competition in Chile, alongside Sir Elton John and the Jonas Brothers. She took home the prestigious award for best singer at the competition. Abroad, she stunned, but she continued to blow everyone away in her home of New York as well, where she reigned as the best singer in NYC for the 2013 NYC Glammy Awards. With so much experience and accomplishments under her belt, Kelly King decided to put her knowledge to good use behind the scenes, specifically focusing in artist management, A&R and development. That knowledge combined with her eye for star-potential is what you want on your team: someone who is able to see talent and then do something with it. She’s participated in the career of Hayley Williams (Paramore) and been blessed to perform with and watch first hand the incredible career of her friend Ariana Grande. Kelly adds a little bit of something to every career and life she touches. In addition, she’s a certified life coach and master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistics Programming, licensed by the society of NLP. In short, girl knows her stuff. These abilities have not gone unnoticed. Kelly began working alongside Philymack Management out of Los Angeles, a firm that partnered with Jay-Z’s powerhouse entertainment company, Roc Nation, and represented Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, and Bea Miller, helping in the development of one of their youngest artists. She is now the Head of Artist Development at KYN Entertainment. The new joint venture between Sonny Takhar and Live Nation. Sonny Takhar is the former partner and President of Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment. Sonny has been responsible for artists that have sold over 400 million records - with 244 No.1 albums and 169 No.1 singles globally including such artists as One Direction, Fifth Harmony, Il Divo, Leona Lewis, Labrinth, Little Mix and Susan Boyle. Sonny has helped his artists achieve No.1 albums in America on 8 separate occasions. Kelly offers a unique vantage point as a consultant of A&R and development because she understands and relates to every step along the path to stardom; she lived it. Her ability to develop an artist from the ground up is rivaled by no other, and her passion, intelligence, and understanding of the entertainment industry shine through all that she does
