About Deanne Franklin

I’ve been working and learning the skills of audio engineering since 1982. I have been fortunate to have met more people to encourage me along with all those that chose to discourage me along the way! I didn’t realize how rare it would be to find a woman in this field, but I’m glad that is changing!! When the Lilith Fair happened, I thought I’d see more of my peers, but in fact I was the only FOH female ever to mix there! Thank you Beth Orton for that opportunity! I’ve mixed my way around the world with any and every type of music from punk rock to symphonies, and a mix of everything in between! My sister has a dog rescue, muttville, and that is what drives so much of my life outside of music. I was grandfathered in to the Union as a journeyman in 2007. I’m currently touring with the San Francisco Ballet. I’m still touring with a few bands as well!
