About Jimena Martín Pérez

I finished in 2022 my studies in "Conservatorio Profesional de Salamanca". I had the chance, during this 10 years, of taking classes with teachers like David Alejandre or Juan Francisco Aránega. I would like to say that in 2020/21, I studied music in Wells Cathedral School for one academic year thanks to de MDS Grant, for Specialist Musicians, the school gave me. There I received lessons of Emily White. Nowadays, I am studying in "Consrvatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León" with Rubén Prades as my trombone teacher I also took part of workshops and internationals festivals like "Numskull brass festival" where I enjoy lessons of amazing trombonist like: Juan Sanjuan, Martin Schippers, Kriss Garfit, Peter Steiner, Jürgen Oswald, Jose Vicente Faubel... Furthermore, I attend to masterclasses with musicians like: Juan Carlos Matamoros or Achilles Liarmakopoulos. And also attend as a listener to lessons of performers like Selina Ott or Felix Klieser. I worked with "Joven Orquesta ciudad de Salamanca" with whom I played in several occasions, for example I played before with José Mercé or the tribute band of " Heroes del silencio". I have also contributed to the Banda De Alba de Tormes with which I have been able to record 3 albums, as well as play in various cities of the Spanish and Italian territory. In my musical journey I also had the opportunity to play in France and England.

Jimena's Experience

I am an enthusiastic musician, seeking to spend time playing trombone and meeting new musicians all over the world. I have symphony experience (“Joven orquesta ciudad de Salamanca”, “Banda Municipal de Salamanca”, “Banda de Alba de tomes”, “Joven Orquesta Teresiana”…). On 2020 I had the chance to do a sound record for Boosey and Hawkes and also to play in Disney Land París on 2019. During the last 8 years I record different CDs like “Piel Sinfónica” or “Bello Serafín”.
