About Janel Rae Filipiak

I am a singer, songwriter, actor, composer, producer and writer living in Toronto. Originally from Kelowna, B.C. i’ve been singing and performing since I was five. From singing with Kenny Rogers and with the pops orchestra on Canada day, taking part in over 20 Musical Theater shows (in B.C and now Toronto), just finished writing my first Poetry book to now self producing and creating music videos for my album that will be dropping fall 2020. This is what I love, and I have so many more ideas for creation!

Janel Rae's Experience

I have taken my grade 9 Royal Conservatory Exams for voice and up to grade 7 for piano. Over the span pf my life, I have trained vocally in pop, Musical Theatre, classical and some Oprah. I have also been studying theatre at camps and in Bumbershoot’s Apprenticeship Program for young artists for 9 years. Last summer 2019, I graduated from the Randolph College for Performing arts, and since then have been learning music video creation through my film partner, who went to film school in Oakville! Most of my self producing, directing and writing is self taught and intuitive.
