About Eve Horne

Eve has over 20 years' experience in the Music Industry as a Singer, Songwriter and Producer. She is founder of PeakMusicUK and the UNHEARD Campaign which demands equality for women in the Music Industry. Eve started her music career as a student at the B.R.I.T school in the early 90’s. She went on to get signed to Polydor UK as part of a girl group trio and then joined girl group Juice, signed to EMI Medley In Denmark. Eve was able to tour the UK, ASIA and EUROPE and work alongside an array of great artists, bands, producers and songwriters such as Jermaine Dupri, Andrea Martin, Soulshock & Karlin, Diane Warren. Returning to the UK in 2000, she went on to study Sound Engineering and Music business at Gateway School of Recording. After graduating, Eve and her business partner set up a recording studio for under privileged and young people with the aim of supporting the community whilst also promoting female producers/sound engineers. They went on to win a National Business Award and an Enterprising Britain award. Eve is a Native Instruments Certified Specialist, she was named a SheSaid.So ALT list 2020 Honorée, is a board member for Moving The Needle, an innovator on Keychange 2022 program, a UK Music Diversity Taskforce rep for MPG, and an executive team member of Why Not Her. Eve has also recently been inducted into the Music Week Women In Music Roll of Honour, become an Ivors Academy Senator and Board Director and was voted on as a Board Director for the MPG. The MPG’s first female and person of colour. In September 2022, Eve launched the We Are The Unheard Academy, funded by The Arts Council and supported by leading music industry software and hardware company Ableton, Musicians Union, Help Musicians, Flare Audio, Veva Collect and Why Not Her. The aim of WATUA is to be accessible to gender minorities, women of colour, the LGBTQIA+ community and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. To offer training and support from beginner to career and help improve the percentages of female-identifying producers and songwriters in the Music Industry, whilst providing childcare and travel costs for in-person events. Eve's creativity and passion for equality and skill sharing comes out in other ways too with her podcast, online classes and children’s book. The We Are The Unheard Podcast aims to provide a platform for everybody who has ever felt unheard. Bringing unapologetic, open-hearted, honest conversations and stories. To bring people together through the power of audio so that they can understand the life journeys others have had, listen with empathy, and be less judgmental. With her incredible classes on Skillshare, an online learning platform with over 12,000 teachers, Eve has had more than 6,000 students and has just been invited to be a top teacher. With only 120 Top Teachers internationally, Eve is the first female and woman of colour to qualify as a Top Teacher in the Music category! She has also recently written and published a children’s book to help "normalise" diversity and educate families and children about interracial, same sex parents and their fertility journey.
