About Estelle Rubio

I am a female producer, songwriter and tech geek girl! I have my own studio in London where I record and write music from a Latin/House/Reggaeton and Chillout variety of styles. I have worked with Basement Jaxx, Efya Nokturnal, Francia Jazzline Orchestra and brands such as Apple, Native Instruments and Genelec in the music tech field. I have also lectured in Music Production for BIMM and am passionate about passing on what I do to the next generation of female producers; something I did recently in my Today At Apple 4 part couse/series in the London flagship store (We had 40% female participants which was great:) I also have extensive engineer/production experience honed from years working around Europe in some of the best studios such as Rollover London and A.M.P Amsterdam. I am currently writing and working a lot with the Spanish language and the whole concept of She IS the Music...Thanks Alicia!

Estelle's Experience

I have worked in various studios over the years, ever since they recorded on tape! However I pride myself with staying at the cutting edge of Music Tech and as a tech tester/Music tech influencer am often lucky enough to try out new hardware and software even before it’s official release for companies such as Native Instruments, Apple (Logic ProX) Genelec, Mixim and Dixons Music stores. As a lecturer in busy studios at BIMM I learnt super quick problem solving and can solve most mishaps as they occur (often!) for an engineer!) For my own music I have written and recorded/released with Basement Jaxx, Mat.Joe, Efya Nokturnal Jerry Barner (Chic) etc. within the last year and love a co-write situation to speed creative flow… As a DJ/remixer I try to keep up with new releases and trends in the music industry 🙂
