About Elizabeth Cannon

Elizabeth Cannon began playing guitar and singing at the age of 12 after being inspired by guitar players like Jimmy Page and Otis Rush. After focusing on neoclassical for the first couple years, she turned her attention to other playing styles like blues, rock, funk, and jazz. She's taken lessons from world class guitarists like Matthew Mills, Joe Stump, and Pete Durand. All throughout high school, Elizabeth actively participated in Berklee summer programs, including Berklee Guitar Sessions and Berklee 5 week (which she received a full scholarship to while at Berklee Guitar sessions). Since the age of 16, Elizabeth has been teaching guitar and voice lessons in award winning music lessons facilities; first at Shamrock Music Shoppe in Purcellville, VA, then at 7DrumCity in Washington DC. She currently plays lead guitar and vocals in her rock project, Elizabeth II, around the DMV area. She is the sole songwriter and will be putting out her debut EP in August, 2019.
