About Diana Akin Scarfo

Diana Akin Scarfo serves as Vice President of Creative Services and started her career at SESAC in 2006 in the Writer/Publisher Relations Department. Over the years, she has worked with a range of songwriter affiliates, representing multiple genres, including RuPaul, Dee Snider, The 8G Band (Late Night w/ Seth Meyers), Japanese Breakfast, Emily King, Jack Harlow, Kiran ‘Madame’ Gandhi, and many others. Akin Scarfo has also been instrumental in implementing new and innovative ways to serve SESAC’s affiliates with top-of-class service. She represents songwriters' and creators’ rights by serving on the board of the National Music Council and previously on the board of Women in Music. Akin Scarfo is also a current member of the Recording Academy, Women in Music, Association of Independent Music Publishers, Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, and NYC3. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Akin Scarfo graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and was a member of the Women's Soccer Team. She resides in Nashville, TN with her husband Gunny and daughter Aldrin after 12+ years in NYC which gave her official "New Yorker" status.
