About Claire Heffernan

Claire Heffernan is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with an eclectic musical background. She writes and performs primarily with contemporary voice, classical piano, and Irish/Celtic harp, a combination which has afforded her a diverse career as a musician since her teenage years. Claire blends this trio of sounds to form a unique new voice for her original music, which takes inspiration from life experiences, from human emotions of love and loss, and from nature and spirituality. Her self-produced debut single Snow Moon reached No.1 in the Irish iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. 2022 and beyond is looking exciting for this new artist as she lines up several follow-up releases. Claire grew up in Limerick, Ireland, where she began performing from early childhood. By her 20s, she had moved to Cork to study music performance at the Cork School of Music, where she earned her BMus and her first MA degree. Around this time, she quickly became one of Ireland’s most sought-after soloists. She could be found entertaining thousands of visitors to Ireland each year with her ethereal Irish harp at the world-famous Bunratty Castle banquets and all along the Wild Atlantic Way. She could also be found performing nationwide as ‘Ireland’s Best Wedding Musician’, a title held for 3 years consecutively until the pandemic inhibited the awards. She obtained her second MA degree at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, and she is an alumnus of the Roche Continents programme.
