About Caroline Monroe

Caroline Monroe is an Americana musician based in Monroe, Georgia. She’s reviving her singing career after 20 years in the Pharmaceutical industry, actor, mother of two children, and wife. She started her music career in choirs in Atlanta. Caroline studied biology at the University of GA in the early 2000s and formed a duet with popular singer/songwriter Fester Hagood of Watkinsville. Fester produced her first album, “Ghost Town,” at Full Moon Studio in Watkinsville featuring such great Athens musicians as Randall Bramblett and John Neff. “Ghost Town” featured Fester’s original songs plus songs written by Caroline, her father Doug Monroe, and Fester. One song they recorded after the album landed Caroline on the main stage at AthFest in downtown Athens in 2007. The song, “Trailer Park Hall of Fame,” was selected for the Best of AthFest CD and is still popular on YouTube. Currently, Caroline records songs on her TikTok channels (carolinemonroemusic and caroscoversongs) and fans still remember her starring lead role in the On Stage Playhouse production of “Always Patsy Cline” and as Nurse Ratched in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” She’s singing out now at festivals and other venues.
