About Annie Shapiro

After getting a crash course in the music business during my college years at Brown/WBRU-fm, I moved to NYC to program an up and coming TV channel called Fuse. I then spent over 10 years programming, developing content and booking talent for the channel. I worked across all genres of music - most closely on alternative rock, hip-hop and later pop - on both the programming and booking sides of my job. I left Fuse to head to Vevo to join the digital world, and have worked on both the label relations and talent booking teams here as well. The below are a few projects that I am so happy to have been a part of in the past few years. Annie's Experience

I handled all of the booking for the above projects – from pitching to execution to promotion of the content. Throughout my years in the music business, I have gone back and forth from programming and curation roles to artist booking. My favorite part of the job is working with an artist that’s just starting out on one of their first projects – whether it’s collaborating on content creation or programming them in a place where they’ll get noticed – and continuing to build a relationship with that artist throughout the years as we both grow!
