About Anna Felice Darmiento

Anna Felice is a singer/songwriter whose native hometown is Queens, NY. She began writing songs at six years old, taking inspiration from the likes of pop tune hitmakers such as Paula Abdul, Ace of Base and Madonna. Finding herself at home on stage in various school productions throughout her early years, she began taking vocal lessons at the age of 12 and was later accepted into the music program at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and the Performing Arts. During her tenure at LaGuardia, Anna Felice studied music theory and took the notable "New Music Singers" class, where she collaborated with her classmates to write and perform original music. During this time, her father taught her how to play the guitar. This, coupled with an early introduction to the piano as a result of her elementary school curriculum, aided Anna tremendously in her songwriting. Awarded an arts scholarship in 2005, Anna Felice attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she was a Soprano One and recurring soloist in the Colleges’ Chorale for four years. During her years at The Colleges, she took music theory classes to continue to expand her knowledge in this area while also focusing on her Mathematics Degree, with which she graduated in 2009. The latter helped open the door to her post-college corporate career, a stable ground on which she could pay off her student loans and enjoy structure and routine while she continued to explore her musical desires on the side. In 2011, Anna Felice attended the Gotham Writer's Songwriting Workshop in NYC, which helped further refine her songwriting skills. In 2013, she released two original songs, “Darling” and “Between You and Me”, which were recorded at 1176 Studios in Astoria, NY. Later that year, Anna Felice collaborated with producer Jim Gately of Valhalla Studios to release her first “radio-ready” single, with industry-standard mixing and mastering. The accompanying music video for this single, “The Best of Me”, garnered over 4,000 hits on Youtube. The following year, Anna Felice released another single called “Incorporated Man”, which is published alongside “The Best of Me” on all major streaming platforms today. In 2019, Anna Felice left her corporate career behind to immerse herself completely into becoming a successful music recording artist. The decade she had spent in the corporate world was accompanied by a journey of personal self-growth; a necessary prerequisite to gaining the self-confidence for her departure from the stability of the “nine-to-five” and entrance into a world which, albeit risky and uncertain, was one with potential for immeasurable fulfillment and reward. Amongst the many musical influences that Anna Felice has, key inspirers include Mitski, Chvrches, Lucius, Tove Lo, Sara Bareilles, Regina Spektor, Evanescence, Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette and Jewel.
