Amy's Experience

I started out in PR, working for Relativity, Priority and Mammoth Records and even ran my own indie PR shop, Moxie Press. I have always loved pop culture and music, and I found a way to combine those loves by working in media relations. When I started working at Island Def Jam, I oversaw the West Coast PR department and worked strategically to place our artists in primetime TV shows, reality competition shows, award shows and cable programs. This introduced me to the world of music supervision and sync licensing and I was able to pivot my career into creative sync licensing while at UMG. I worked with all genres and levels of artists, securing film+ tv placements, finding soundtrack opportunities, marketing tie-ins and negotiating sync licensing deals. From there, I went on to run the sync licensing departments at Roc Nation, overseeing sync licensing for all medias for their label, publishing and management divisions. I now run the creative sync licensing department at Spirit Music Group, a boutique global publishing company with catalog from legendary artists like The Who, T. Rex, Graham Nash, Ingrid Michaelson, Matt & Kim, Salt N Pepa, Daddy Yankee, Ghostface Killah as well as noted industry writers and producers like Tricky Stewart, David Paich, Gregg Wattenberg, Alan Wilkis/Big Data, Nick Gale, Joy Williams and many many more.
