About Adele Fournet
Adele Fournet is a music producer, composer, and scholar who researches the intersections of gender, technology, and labor in popular music production, as well as pursuing applied and activist research methodologies in Ethnomusicology and Musicology. She directs a video web series about female music producers called Bit Rosie (www.bitrosie.com), which became the New York University library's first music-related streaming video web archive in 2017. Her films have been screened on PBS New York and at the NYC Independent Film Festival. She holds a PhD in Ethnomusicology from NYU. Current projects and collaborations include Fa, Bit Rosie, Cuttingbird, CorpusMedio, Celeste Krishna, and digitice.org. She also plays piano and drums and directs music videos.
