Marketing Manager at Independent Record Label in Los Angeles
Full-Time, Hybrid
CMH Label Group is seeking candidates for a full-time Marketing Manager for the company’s Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ) music series. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years' experience in senior-level music / artist marketing. This position will report to the VSQ Brand Manager and be a part of the series’ management team.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead all VSQ marketing fronts: social media, digital advertising, website, online video / content, email marketing, influencer marketing, brand partnerships, and PR.
• Lead development of the visual presentation of the brand across all marketing fronts.
• Lead marketing across all VSQ products and services, including recorded music, live
performances, merch, sheet music, education, etc.
• Develop and implement high-level marketing strategies and oversee the development and execution of visually compelling, effective marketing campaigns.
• Help develop the vision, voice, and content of the brand, through its marketing efforts.
• Drive the growth of the brand in both domestic and international markets.
• Oversee VSQ’s social media team (internal and/or external).
• Liaise and coordinate with internal art department as to artwork and branding.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal sales team on campaigns, DSP marketing, and radio.
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant external teams—e.g., distribution partners, label
partners, marketing partners, branding agencies, PR companies, etc.
• Track campaigns and analyze impact on revenue / brand awareness.
• Oversee the maintenance of artist profiles on digital music services (photo, bio, pinned content, playlists, etc).
Qualifications
• 7+ years' experience in artist and/or music marketing, including marketing digital,
physical and/or live music.
• Experience with visual storytelling and producing compelling and engaging content.
• Ability to conceive and execute high-level, creative campaigns and visual assets.
• Knowledge and experience in creating, executing, and evaluating marketing and
advertising campaigns.
• Ability to lead and manage others, able to develop teams and team members, hold
people accountable.
• Super-organized and a great communicator. Able to handle oversight of many areas and projects at once.
• Collaborative, someone who enjoys the creative process with considerable input from others.
• Able to adapt quickly and shift priorities and focus when timely opportunities (or
challenges) arise and lead teams through those shifts.
• Drives initiatives to completion.
• Passionate about music and pop culture.
• Skilled copywriter / editor, able to capture the voice of the brand and speak to our user/customer.
• Deep knowledge of all social platforms along with music streaming platforms like
Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and Amazon.
• Wide knowledge of e-commerce / email marketing and experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms.

This position is based at our LA office, with the ability to work from home part of the week if desired. Travel may be required for productions, events, meetings, conferences, etc.

Pay commensurate with qualifications and experience, with salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
