Position Overview
The Rights Management department facilitates day-to-day rights management operations for both the Big Machine Label Group and Big Machine Music. This position will have a heavy emphasis on Big Machine Music’s publishing administration, metadata set up and delivery. Tasks include but are not limited to, copyright assignments, registration of work with PRO’s, copyright registrations, preparation and issuing of mechanical and digital licenses for Big Machine Music.

Job Functions
o Enter new Big Machine Music publishing works into Counterpoint. Work with publishing creative team on deliveries as needed
o Register Big Machine Music works with sub publisher, partners and PRO’s including follow through to ensure accuracy
o Issue label copy for Big Machine’s publishing company, Big Machine Music.
o Facilitate process for Big Machine Music mechanical and digital licenses, including set up in royalty system, and preparation of licenses.
o Prepare and facilitate Big Machine Music’s assignments of copyright
o Resolve counter claims for publishing company and label group
o Facilitate copyright registration process for publishing company and label group
o Some label responsibilities such as, neighboring rights metadata delivery, preparation and entering songs and products in Record Maestro, sound recording registrations, metadata delivery to direct partners
o Develop workflow, systems, and processes to increase department efficiency
o Prepare and present project updates to senior management team

Requirements
o Experience using Counterpoint Record Maestro and Music Maestro systems
o Experience in publishing administration and knowledge of record label administration functions
o Extreme attention to detail and accuracy
o Drive and passion for problem solving

Does not necessarily need to be based in Nashville.
