About Zoe Lemos

I am a 15 year old singer songwriter. I play guitar, bass, keys and a little drums. I have been writing songs since I was 10 old. I am also in a band called ZoKi Band with two friends. Within the band Kim and I write songs, alternate between guitar and bass and lead sing and harmonize and Lily is the drummer and occasional trumpet player. We released our first cd "Take One" last year and paid for it from money we made at gigs...we opened for NRBQ, Antigone Rising and Y La Bamba, and Pamela Means, DIana Alvarez and have shared a stage withJune Millington, Erin Mckeown and others. Our social media is @Zokiband and you can find us on spotify, apple music etc. I am just starting to take solo gigs also... I am really hoping to go to college for contemporary music/songwriting if we can afford it! and want to make a career in the music biz. I am a feminist and activist also and love to write songs with a political/social commentary edge.

Zoe's Experience

I am a high school student at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High school and have been writing songs and playing music in bands since I was 10years old. It all began at the Institute for the Musical Arts Preteen girls rock camp (spear headed by June Millington and Ann Hackler) www.ima.org. This past summer i attended Berklee College 5 week aspire program which I would LOVE to attend again but know that it is unlikely because it is super expensive. My band ZoKi (@Zokiband) which i am a songwriter vocalist for plays about 40 local gigs per year, including fundraisers as i am also an activist I am looking for a musical mentor who could help guide me to what comes next college or more gigs.
