About Lori Sutherland

Lori Archer Sutherland is a musician, composer, and private clarinet instructor. Lori earned a BMus degree in theory and composition from the Ohio State University and a MLIS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has written and arranged pieces for a variety of ensembles including concert band, clarinet choir, chamber groups and solo instruments. She participates in several ensembles in the Chicago suburbs, including the Knock on Wood Clarinet Choir, which she founded. She publishes Tonal Diversions, a music appreciation blog. While clarinet is her first love, her weapons of choice are the bass and contrabass clarinets.
