I am a singer and songwriter from Vienna, Austria and I am so excited to join this initiative. I am also the founder and host of the "Ladies First Sessions", Vienna's first concert series and jam session focusing on female musicians. At my monthly event, there is always an all female band opening the session with a short concert and then there is an open jam session/ open mic where men and women are allowed on stage, but it's "ladies first". After school I studied business and I have a bachelor in International Business Administration. But I always wanted to make music since I was a little child. So after my business studies, I worked in marketing part time, but also studied singing at the "pop academy" in Vienna. Now I am a professional artist, a singer, songwriter, event organizer and singing teacher. As a child I had guitar lessons for 7 years. At my time at the pop academy, I started combining singing and guitar and started writing songs. Now a few years later, I recorded my debut album. I did a crowdfunding to be able to record it in 2020 and raised over 12000 euros. I received the masters for my album a few weeks ago and now I am looking for a record label to release it with. My album is a mix of jazz, soul, pop, funk and blues, 5 songs in English, 5 songs in German, all original songs. I am super passionate about connecting and networking with other women working in the music industry and learning from each other. For so many years, I have seen men network so well with each other and get each other in different projects. I think women need to do that way more to support each other. So I thank you for your great initiative and am excited how I can participate in it.
