About Shelley Harland

Shelley Harland is a singer-songwriter from London via New York via Sydney Australia. With a passion to sing and write music of all flavours her music can be heard across the globe on various albums, tv shows and films. Shelley was discovered by Magus Entertainment (Wendy Laister and Maria Egan) and Nettwerk Music Group in New York. Untrained in music she began sampling sounds in the subway and then, in her little Brooklyn apartment, she chopped them up into beats on her MPC 2000 sampler, added strings, piano and vocals, which helped her to create a unique sound. Shelley was quickly signed to Chrysalis Music (now BMG) in Los Angeles, followed by Sony Music & Alberts Publishing. During this time Shelley has had the opportunity to write and perform with artists and writers such as Elvis Costello, John Cale (Velvet Underground) Larry Klein, The Fray, Morgan Page, Ferry Corsten, Jazzmattazz, and more... Currently Shelley is writing and producing songs for film/tv, other artists and her own solo project from her studio in a beautiful little seaside town just outside of Sydney.
