About Rachel Alex

My name is Rachel Ivy Alex.. my artist name- Ivy Alex. I'm a Singer-Songstress, Pianist, and aspiring Producer. I have a catalogue of over 200 songs (mostly demos) and am slowly but surely releasing songs one by one. Thrilled to join this community, I've been personally frustrated with men producers trying to steal my songs, call me a "little girl" and not respond to emails asking for my masters... Oh, and not to mention-taking the life and soul out of my songs! So I'm vowing to work with female producers as well as becoming one so as to end that BS. I attended Berklee College of Music for Film Scoring and was one of literally 2 girls every class. That community really came in when I reached out about getting my songs back from an abusive producer and they gave me hope by getting my songs back to me. We have to raise each other up! I'm looking to collaborate, trade, network and build together. My intentions are to make a living off of my music; performing, sync licensing, cowriting etc. as well as work with incredible artists who inspire me.

Rachel's Experience

I worked on Holland America Line’s Billboard Onboard (Dueling Pianos) where we performed 3 hour-long shows a night, 6 nights a week, for 7 months. I sang and played piano every night! Thats more work than Broadway Performers! I’m a seasoned performer ready to tour! I also was a Music Director at renowned Frenchwoods Festival of The Arts in Upstate NY for several shows including ‘Tarzan’ to which I was not given sheet music and taught parts by memory. I’ve recorded in studios from Berklee (Boston) to Full Sail (Orlando, FL) to Big 3 (St. Pete, FL) as well as home studios.
