Maura's Experience

Since graduation, I’ve been working within the community of my hometown in various roles. As a lightboard operator at a local theatre, The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre I learned how set up and execute lighting cues with perfect timing, for tech week and performances. I offered my producing and recording skills to the theatre many times, including recording Foley and sound effects to be used during live shows and successfully setting up, distributing and keeping track of microphone packs for the performers. As far as my production and songwriting skills, I’ve been honing my craft and learning to trust myself when it comes to creative instincts. I’ve put out a four song EP titled “Shine,” in July of 2022 that I wrote, recorded, produced and mastered on my own. I am in love with the process of writing and putting out my own material and I am working on my next project now, as well as looking into interested collaborators and working more with local musicians and studios. Performing songs for my local community is also a way I’ve been using these skills. Breweries, voter registration events, community cookouts and a private concert for a local organization are some events I’ve played at the last four years.
