About Deora Clairé

Blessed with soulful mezzo-soprano vocals, Deora Clairé is a Bilingual R&B Singer-songwriter from the musical city of Memphis, TN. Growing up in the inner city, Deora Clairé’s parents stressed the importance of God and education though she had dreams of becoming a singer-songwriter. Every Sunday, she attended church with her family and sang hymns. During the week, she was an active honors student participating in multiple extracurricular activities including several choirs. Deora Clairé also enjoyed learning Spanish. As part of her three-year college career at the University of Memphis, she studied abroad in Costa Rica, and in 2016 Deora Clairé earned her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in International Business. However, her love of writing songs and singing did not wane. In 2018 while working full-time as a Bilingual Marketing Specialist, Deora Clairé released her first body of work titled Love over Hate. With Love over Hate, Deora Clairé is determined to capture your soul with a heartfelt "Forget You". Secondly, "Way to Win" inspires you to stand firm against adversity. Then, the final song, "Loveless World", offers unity and comfort during troublesome times. Although the release was only three songs, it built her confidence. Therefore, in the summer of 2019, Deora Clairé released three remixes to her original song “Forget You.” They are “Forget You (Bilingual Remix)” which she also released a video for, “Forget You (English Remix),” and “Olvidarte (Forget You Spanish Remix).” She also performed her first set of 30 minutes at the Delta Fair, an annual fair in Memphis. Despite the exciting milestones during the summer of 2019, Deora Clairé began to face mental health challenges, triggered by events in her personal life, which paused her music endeavors. Deora Clairé is now healthy and has released her debut album “Golden” reflecting on her journey.
