About Katya Shkrutz

I have experience working as a VIP Coordinator at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, NJ and at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY. This role required me to distribute credentials, check in guests, and communicate program specifics. As an artist management intern working with the recording artist Wrabel, I have also served as a Merchandise Coordinator at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC and as a Production Assistant on the set of a live, acoustic video in Washington Square Park, NYC. I am currently working full-time at a major record label within the A&R Administration department, but have had opportunities as a Promotions Assistant at CBS Radio and as a Revenue Accounting Intern at Pandora. All of these positions require a high level of organization, active listening skills, and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at NYU Stern, majoring in Accounting & Finance and minoring in Business of Entertainment, Media & Technology. The minor program’s curriculum allowed me to take courses within Steinhardt’s music business program, including a recording technology class. I find the recording process and sound engineering to be fascinating and would love to shadow someone in this position. I am also extremely passionate about live shows and aspire to work within tour management. My goal is to tour with an artist or band, as a tour assistant, merch seller, photographer, writer, or social media manager. I am eager to learn and grow in any of these roles.
