About Eva Acton Stokes

I am a classically trained pianist and singer who writes and performs progressive baroque rock/pop with occasional forays into electronica. In my mid-teens I was the lead singer and songwriter for popular college band Gnu U. Pete Brown of CREAM fame produced my first EP in London, England, after which I toured Europe and later moved to Los Angeles where I worked with Grammy winner Mick Guzauski, Bill Meyers, and John Philip Shenale, as well as put together original baroque rock bands 'Kali Yuga' and 'Tribe Infinity,' which later split into 'The Infinity Rock Orchestra' and 'Robot Nature.' Legendary music executive Artie Mogull came to see me with an all-star backing band at the Viper Room and offered me a major label deal, which fell through because of changes in the industry. I have recorded five albums of original music and am working on a sixth as my new incarnation, 'I, Mother Crone.'

Eva's Experience

I write and record original music in my own private studio using Multitrack Studio Pro, a sample library compiled by a friend, my Yamaha keyboards, a couple of antique pianos, and an MXL USB 008 microphone. I recently started producing and recording other artists as well, and mentoring and coaching younger singers.
